"I'm chilling" |
The bus picked us up at 7.05am (bit early for yours truly these days) and we set off south for the National Park along the Stuart Highway (the next tee junction on this highway is 1,200km's away), one and a half hours away. First stop, Banyan Tree Café, a services to you and me!

Yours truly was gagging for a cup of tea, so went inside and saw all the necessary except cups. I asked the woman behind the counter (a German) where they were and she said 'you must look'!
What? I only want a cup of tea, I didn't think I would have to go on a treasure hunt for one. After a couple of minutes I gave up and said so. She put her hand under the counter and then produced a cup we she gleefully held above her head, "Here we are" Well the first thing I felt was a proper tit, then I wanted to smash the bloody thing over her head and recall the result of the most recent world wars! Anyway, seeing the joke ( I don't think) I laughed it off, just about.
Suitably refreshed we set of on the tour.
We saw lots of and very large termite
hills, thousands in fact.
